About

Ali Shirazi is a multimedia journalist from Houston, Texas, and currently lives in Austin, Texas. He focuses on sharing community stories through documentary filmmaking and audio reporting but enjoys experimenting with all storytelling mediums.

Armed with the internet and YouTube tutorials, Ali taught himself how to tell stories through various mediums since the age of six. In the 18 years since, he's continued his passion for documenting the lives of his peers and community.

Ali is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Rhetoric and Writing with a minor in Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, he is both a Video and Audio Reporter at The Daily Texan.
